Well I have to say - watching the clips on here and some of the outrageous behaviour by people entrusted to SERVE and PROTECT - it is not difficult to see why the USA have completely screwed up in Iraq.
ReplyDeleteOccupying someone else's country requires some understanding of how to win the battle for hearts and minds and how to treat other human being with respect. If you treat your own citizens like this, what hope do other nationalities have?
Unfortunately US soldiers, and it would seem the police also, go crashing in like a bull in a china shop, with little or no respect for anyone and ask questions later (if they can be bothered)
Then they lie about their actions and try to cover them up. Unfortunately, most of the world is now wise to this kind of behaviour.
When the United States starts to train its forces and officials to use their brains before their brawn, the world just might start to become a better place.
It would be interesting to know what (if anything) happened to the police so embarrassingly portrayed in these clips.
